Because the MC won't try it or because Cross isn't suited?

A bit of both, Cross doesn't really have too many options outside of the centre, and I don't think the MC will try many new things before the end of the season.

I just can't see Cross ever playing this forward role, his kicking and indecision when kicking mean he just isn't suited.

Which makes him pretty inflexible and restricts opportunities for other players.

Not exactly robbing Peter to pay Paul, but along those lines though. More like giving the Bulldogs a shitty second round compo pick for Harbrow, but that isn't as catchy.
Gia would be one of our slowest players and as we already lack pace in the middle with Boyd, Cross and Ward, adding Gia isn't going to solve anything.

He's a classy dangerous forward with a couple of tricks, as long as he's not the main focus of attack then he'll always be a danger. If his skill drops away he'll find his career ends very quickly as he is a liability with his lack of pace in today's game.

It might help fix our shit disposal problem though. I'm not saying we're going to see Gia burst away from the centre bounce, ball tucked under his arm, to launch a long goal from 60. I'm sayiong that with or without pressure Gia is one our best users of the footy by foot, and he has shown when he has stints in the middle he can get it and use it well.

The only way we are going to get the speed in there we need is by giving guys like Stack, Wood and Dahlhaus in there, which I am supportive of doing. But our disposal through the middle is also an issue.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

                How did Gilbee play?

                Any chance of a recall?

He was average - but why would we recall him when we want to debut Tutt, Vez and Cordy?

Mitch Hahn cleared after being reported on the weekend.

I was more just interested in where his form was at, but whilst contracted I guess there is some chance that he might be farewelled over the next 3

Don't suppose they've changed the decision to holding the ball then?

Another joke decision on the day that cost us the opportunity to have a shot at goal.

Did anyone hear Phil Cleary after that decision? The guy straight out barracks for the non-aligned clubs. Knob.

Phil still hates Willi from his time at Coburg. He is still living in the 80's - very sad.
