By give away, you mean drop down in the order five places?

I don't know anything about the other player, but if the club rated him, I wouldn't see a problem with it.

Few other clubs have done some creative deals with swapping of picks etc. too. I'm not too sure why we aren't trying to do the same, or what we're trying to do. Bate/Bower are terrible choices.

Same here. We aren't creative thinkers at all.

How do you know that? There's a heck of a lot that goes on behind closed doors that we don't always know about. We well may have done nothing or not been interested in Saad, but that may not be right either.

Well what would you have given? Our first pick is 17, would you drop to 25? What else can we give. Its easy to criticise, but you have to satisfy the other party.

I think that was the thing that the Saints trumped us on this one, because either we didn't want him or we weren't prepared to give up 17

I would have given our second pick for him straight away for a downgrade, but the Saints went higher than that

I just think he could be a jet, and is exactly what we need

But we've probably also been holding 17 in the hope of getting Crouch out of the mini-draft
