Good to see Tutt back in. Hopefully Jong gets a go in the seniors.

For the life of me I cannot understand the reason behind playing Panos on a half-back flank.

Here is a team that has a dearth of forwards, yet the one player in the squad who was recruited and who has had a contract extension on the basis of his potential as a full forward now finds himself on the half back flank.

      It just doesn't make sense.

How many more forwards will we turn into backmen while our obvious and long term weakness up forward continues?

Maybe they have indentified a need to develop an elite kicking half back that can replace Gilbee to some degree and Howard isn't filling the bill. Who knows if they will line up the same as named either.

He played in the seniors last week so should be a chance.

Just out of interest for anyone going Nathan Ablett will line up for Werribee's development team.

Did he get a gig in Chops' worst premiership players team?

Maybe with Panosthey're trying to let him find the ball.
Hill seems to be developing nicely
Heard on SEN last night Williamstown are playing at the Whitten Oval?

I tend to agree - it's odd that we've now moved away from playing Panos in his natural position. To counter, the forward line as named is already packed with Dogs listed players. Looking at the side, besides Hill (and perhaps Redpath) there isn't a huge amount of tall forward options, then there's Talia and Roberts who can play back, so Panos might spend a bit of time up forwards anyway.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

Due to the delays in the work at Williamstown they have had to look at other venues which is a shame because they had fully sold out the luncheon for the scheduled game against Port.

I haven't heard that it will be played at the Whitten Oval and given the VFL's rules on grounds I'm not sure how they can do it. No scoreboard, no fencing and bugger all facilities would mean a lot of money spent on hiring equipment. I hope it's true though.

I can,t find anything on the Williamstown and Werribee sites , nor the VFL site , if there was a venue change it would in the news section of those sites , I can only assume it was a topic for discussion that VFL games could be played at Whitten Oval but as you said it would need some work on facilities before that could happen

I quite like it when the games at Avalon Oval , only 5 min walk from my house
