The program where the key position players spend time back to develop defensive skills and then are moved back forward so they can show that they have learnt what was required and lifted their game another level moves on another week , Panos has done his time and now he's back forward , all he has to show General Mac and the senior coaches is a 50/50 output offense / defense , against North Dickson showed the standard required , Pat V knuckled down and lifted his output and is doing well as a rebounding defender , Hooper is now going through the same process and against the Tigers he will probably spend time back again but he really has to get with the program as this a make or break year for him

Skinner looks more likely to play in Darwin not being named in the side

We really need as many supporters as possible to go Sunday , so lets all get to Whitten Oval as we need to show that having more games there is a viable option

Howard's kicking has been very good, nice return. McHarg is someone we should be looking at.

Redpath is miles away from offering anything at this level. Looks like Tarzan etc etc.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Played CHF all day and been pretty good. Got high up the ground at times as a lead up option. His kicking for goal is sweet to watch.

What type of player is McHarg?
More of an In Bruges guy?

                          Moles looked o.k.
Redpath didn't seem to do much.
Ling Jong would have been ok except for his disposals.
                          Howie looked o.k.

It was nice sitting in the sun on the Doug Hawkins wing!
Thought I saw Morris in the crowd.

I spoke to Tommy before he was joined by the Rehab Group , he said he was about 4 or 5 weeks away from a game or 1/2 game back for Willi , he said that he wants to talk to General Mac and the coaching staff about a move to HF if the backline becomes settled with Lake, Austin and Markovic , after I was finished talking to him he was joined by Cooney , Markovic , Roughead , Morris and his son Riley , Tutt and Tommy Campbell

Jong did some good things in the middle bit untidy but he was competitive , Roberts was ok defensively with marks and spoils but turned the ball over a couple of times by foot , Panos was ok at HF great kick for goal just needs to work on his defensive pressure particularly repeat efforts , Big Jack is a unit but just does,nt work his opponent over he really needs to work harder to find space closer to goal he would move up the ground and drift back and leave himself out of position to lead , The Howitzer was a bit rusty but will be better for the game time , Hoops was good in the middle but faded when moved back behind the ball

The crowd of about 1,000 was good but I expected a lot more with the good weather and free entry , I hope they play more games there just needs a scoreboard, siren and portable toilets

                            .

Thought there were a few more than a thousand.
Wonder if Willy are going to give their Bunnings chalk board back, looked like a suburban cricket scoreboard.Great nostalgic visit , thought Jong was great but just needs to tidy up his disposal. Howard was excellent and looked a class above. Thought Panos was good( excellent kick), Redpath looks a tad slow. Unfortunately with Campbell out, Tommy Hill rucked ( he's very mobile)
