            Final siren

            Box Hill by 6 points

            Willi- 12.9.81
            Box Hill- 12.15.87

Mirror image of last week, Willi off to a flyer, then insipid for 2 quarter before lifting too late in the last quarter.

That is what hawthorn lacks, which perhaps means he shows a lack of consistency?
More of an In Bruges guy?

Jones- faded a little bit late but probably Willi's best over 4 quarters

Redpath- thudded back to Earth after least week's breakout game. Total non-entity

Panos- Played mostly in the ruck with a bit back and forward. Was reasonable around the ground but struggled in the ruck as you'd expect.

Jong- battled hard but didn't have much impact

Moles- Looked completely disinterested until the last 10 mins, I think he knows his papers are stamped

Smith- BOG by a country mile in the first half, didn't return to the field in the 2nd half after a suspected concussion

Hill- played mostly in defence and a little in the ruck, very quiet

Roberts- Had a battle on his hands early, got better as the game wore on

Pearce- provided some run and got a bit of the ball, but probably only serviceable

                  Greenwood- very quiet

Sherman- frustrating day, fumbled, not clean with disposals, couldn't see him getting promoted on that performance

Hooper- was lively up forward and finished with 4 goals in conditions tailor made for him. Never gets a lot of the ball but was dangerous

Howard- kicked 2 goals but didn't have an impact

Gilbee- looks like VFL seniors is beyond him these days

Skinner- got hands to the ball quite a bit but that's all

I thought Jones was very impressive considering the conditions.

I thought Howard, Jones, Hooper and Smith looked good today, was one of those horrid Willy home game days making it hard for talls.

I thought Howard was OK considering the conditions didn't really suit his skill set. His foot skills are of a high standard but at times he can let himself down, not sure if it's concentration or the nerves that come with being a 1D player. Still, went hard enough and I would have him in for the game at Docklands.

Smith was fantastic in the first half and I think we almost have to find a spot for him if he is right. He have a surplus of his type, perhaps he can spend time as a small forward or be the sub.

Liam jones was excellent, his second and third efforts were terrific.( probably a focus)
Howard- thought he was polished and was reasonable
                          Moles- he's gone
                          Hooper - was very good
                          Smith- was BOG until injured
                          Redpath- Dirty day, no impact
Jong- has a crack, but not polished enough
Skinner- as a mate Sms'd he needs Black Caviars compression suit to keep warm. No urgency third up.
Panos - was pretty good around the ground, but battled at the stoppages( to be expected made Pattison look like a footballer)
                          Hill- No impact
Roberts- looks like he'll be okay, needs more muscle
                          Great game of Football

Not sure what game some you watched, Howard did more bad things than good.

Yep and he seems worryingly slow.

IMO Hooper is a bit like a VFL version of Gia/Higgins (superficial aspects aside!). Doesn't get much of it, not great with his defensive pressure, doesn't really crumb like a small but pinches a couple of goals from his smarts/cheating (I mean that in a niceish way!).
