By the radio Panos played well and so did JJ also Jones. Panos could of had 3 goals all in the last after being moved from defense.

Popped in 17 min in and Willy were 2 pts up and playing keeping offs.
Invariably turned over and Werribee kicked 2 goals.
Saw a big grab from Mckinley ( classic in betweener footballer)

          That sounds familiar.

Looking forward to reading the reports. JJ and Jones mentioned in quite a few snippets I have read today.

Re: Round 17 - Williamstown vs Werribee

I went out there today and saw the last three quarters. Great day for footy and a pretty good game and very tight in the end. Willi hit the front at the 20 minute mark of the last quarter then Werribee kicked two quick ones and were in the box seat to win. Mind you they lead for most of the game. A couple of goals to Willi with about a minute to go put them 2 points up. Werribee had a chance in the dying seconds when they ran into an open goal and hit the post.

            A couple of observations:

            * Campbell - Rucked for most of the game, and was generally ok, didn't do much around the ground.

            * Roughead - played some good football around the ground, alternating between forward and back. Made a silly mistake in the backline to give the ball to Werribee and they goaled to extend their lead at the 24 minute mark,

            * JJ- played with his dash, had alot of the ball, but still along way off senior selection.

            * Skinner - Did some good things, set up a few goals with some left foot low passes.

            * Hooper - played up forward, didn't see him kick any goals, was ok.

            * Talia and Roberts - both very good in the backline, held it together and were very steady.

            * Jones- wasn't brilliant, lead up the ground and again continually under the ball. Either he leads too far and can't time his run or his team mates just kick it over his head. Kicked a nice goal to put Willi within a kick with minutes to go.

            * Panos - I don't think he influenced the game much and hardly touched it in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Did some ok things in the last.

*Sherman - was lively but his disposal is not brilliant, lots of handpasses missing targets and he has a strange kicking style which we all know.

            * Hargrave - Didn't play.

Off-topic, I was watching the Sunday Footy Show, and it was mentioned that Hooper is now doing "great things" at the Western Bulldogs. And these guys are supposed to be the experts.

Maybe he's been doing the dishes and helping with the laundry?

Turned it on this morning and turned it off pretty quickly. Idiots 'R' Us came to mind. Simon O'Donnel is probably the only one I'd want to hear from from that group and he played cricket.

Yeah. Well I think he is.

I love watching Goodes play footy. Really hard at it and has a bit of mongrel about him. I haven't seen much of Willy this year but saw quite a bit last year. He was always one of the better players. You'd have to ask one of the regular Willy watchers to get more details.

The downside to having an affiliation team. How would Hill FF and Panos HF go as a combo? Two known forwards are we developing our forwards in the right way. Panos spends most of his game time in defense and Hill in the reserves which always kicks a bag.
