Is it the same injury as last time?
Last time he did the horror tibula and fibula.
Just hope and pray it isn't the same break as last time!

Latest tweet from Steve is a bit more encouraging:

"Hearing some positive news on Stringer .. Opposite leg to the big break pre-draft .. And foot, not ankle"

I believe it's an injury to his foot not a break with his bad leg or ankle.

I've heard little news on this other than 2 very recent tweets, one from Stevo, the other a reply from someone I cannot verify.

          From Stevo:
Hearing some positive news on Stringer .. Opposite leg to the big break pre-draft .. And foot, not ankle ..

Then a reply a couple of minutes back from an unknown source:
@Stevo7AFL Heard X-ray is all clear, medical staff to assess tomorrow

Holding out that it May not be as bad as it could.

Bulldogs twitter also said X-rays were clear - so hopefully just a scare (and apologies for scaring and scarring people if so).

Holy cow. Nearly threw up when I read page 1. This poor kid + our club simply cannot afford that type of luck. Glad to hear it might not be all bad. Put the kid on ice and start his pre-season right now please. We know he can play. We need to get his fitness base right before we chuck him back into the fray...

I'd suggest we pissed away a first round pick when we chose Everitt rather than pissing away anything we got back for him. His value when traded was what it was. We weren't going to get much else.

Yet Everitt played very well yesterday and has been a regular in the Swans' team this year.

Sill will never get close to what you would expect for with a first round pick.

Funny thing he is still only 24 years old and at 194cm should start to mature.

He's now played 71 games. The average for players drafted between 11 and 20 in drafts 2004-2007 is 75 (see here). If he keeps his current form line, there's no reason why he can't play 150 games.

I'm sure getting out of Melbourne and into a tough Sydney line up would of helped him mature as well. That's something we just couldn't replicate for Andrejs.
