'Football Nation' mentioned Chris Maple as a likely prospect just after he was awarded the 2013 Sports Learning Australia Development Coach of the Year by the AFL Coaches Association. If our VFL team is a development squad he must be considered as a candidate I presume.

Not a bad idea to get some new ideas in and important we set up our VFL team with the coach we want in charge

It's a good move for all involved. German is a very good VFL coach but you get the sense he is better suited within a structure that allows him total control. A VFL stand alone team would be ideal.
