Is this a completely new club?

Or is it a continuation after 88 years in the same competition?

Does this club inherent all the history of FFC pre 1925 or is that the property of the senior AFL club? I can see points for and against on both sides of the ledger.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

    I think we include pre.

We were in the VFA cum VFL.
We took a position in the VFL cum AFL.
And we decided to then have a team back in VFL.

I think about it like being relegated and then coming back, ie premier league style.

And that includes quite a few premierships!

I count it like a sub heading.

When the reserves were around what did you call them? Basically the same thing.

Yes its the reserves. I miss the reserves, especially before the seniors. Now we have to go on two separate days which is not always possible on a weekend.

If Port and Williamstown can count VFL flags to the list if premierships why can't we?

Do you reckon it's Reserves though? We are playing against clubs that field only senior teams ie Willy, Port etc. In fact if we go the continuation route then we have ready made rivalries with those two clubs already.

I like the idea of Footscray, especially, embracing it's past. But if it doesn't I won't get that worked up about it. Actually I don't think it'll ever come up until they look like winning a flag..

It isn't a new Club. It is a team which our Club is fielding. The Footscray Football Club (trading as Western Bulldogs) fields two squads, one in the national competition and a feeder team in the local competition.
