Stringer's been so influential in the second half playing forward.

Fantastic game to watch. It's nice watching a win!

11 shots at goal between Stringer and Honeychurch. And the games not yet over.

Good VFL crowd, especially with the weather. The ground however has held up really well, lots of mud in the middle, but it's in good nic.

Honey church and stringy bean have been awesome.

A very good point. I wonder if a few at Whitten Oval are worried the popularity of our VFL team will diminish support for our AFL group. I think a great many of us would be quite satisfied with grassroots footy right now, for a lot of reasons.

Could this be the result of having a couple of tall forwards thus giving time and space to the smaller guys?

Fantastic 2nd half from Stringer. Really made a difference both on ball and forward.

                  Honeychurch terrific all day.

Also thought Cordy was very good and as opposed to some of the comments around his previous good games, this was against one of the very good VFL sides.

A number of good Footscray players today. Honeychurch and Stringer really stood out for me.

Re: Port Melbourne V Footscray Round 10

Been a dark year so far which makes watching a game like that so much more enjoyable, particularly when the blokes stepping up are the young players we are pinning our hopes on.

Honeychurch has to be promoted next week....such a smart and competitive player. And Stringer......wow....what an outstanding second half from him as he really imposed himself on the game running through the middle and up forward. Redpath looked good and I was pretty impressed with the games of both Campbell and Cordy. A lot to like today.
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.

Up for selection by the match committee for next week based on todays performances.

Thought Stringer, Honeychurch and Cordy played well. Young had a funny game, in some ways really solid but in other ways a liability with the ball.

A lot of very solid players today.

Thought from the look of Darley that once he gets his strength up and running he'll have potential to be a good player and user of the ball.

Watched the 2nd half. Stringer, Honerchurch and Hunter were great. Head scratching stuff that at least one of them isn't in our senior squad. If Honeychurch can't get a game next week our board should get some heads rolling right now.

Love watching Goodes at VFL level. He's so suited for conditions like this. Tough and fearless, if he does get moved on from our senior list I really hope they can get him to stay around.

Corey and Campbell looked good. Loved seeing some pack marks. Something I rarely see from any players in the trip colours. Corey took a ripper in the 3rd.
