Top spot on the VFL ladder is on offer on Saturday when the Footscray Bulldogs challenge the Box Hill Hawks at Victoria University Whitten Oval.

The Bulldogs are the in-form team of the VFL, having won their past seven games but will meet stiff opposition in Box Hill who will look to atone their three point loss to Essendon last week.

Shaun Higgins' inclusion will provide a boost with his experience and class across half back, and Clay Smith will look again to push for senior selection after an eye catching display last week.

Tom Campbell has been a dominant big man in recent weeks and will continue to provide service to the midfield around stoppages as well as a strong contest in the air while resting up forward.

The Bulldogs are calling on all members and fans to show up in force for the home match at VU Whitten Oval, with the AFL clash against the Gold Coast being shown live directly afterwards.

The game between Footscray and Box Hill will be broadcast on ABC TV live from 1pm on Saturday.
