Father-son prospects invited to state draft combines

POSSIBLE father-son selections Alec Waterman and Jayden Foster are among the 91 draft hopefuls invited to test at state NAB AFL Draft Combines later this year.

Waterman, eligible to join West Coast as the son of Eagles premiership player Chris, was not among the list released last week for the national combine, but the midfielder will get his chance to screen in front of recruiters at the state-based testing day.

The Western Bulldogs have kept an eye on Foster's progress, given he can join under the father-son rule as his dad Peter played 163 games for Footscray between 1983-93.

Foster, a developing tall forward, has kicked 29 goals in 11 games for the Calder Cannons in the TAC Cup side after being eligible for last year's draft.

      Is it the same guy?

if it is then good for him I reckon.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Has been good at Norwood this year in a variety of roles, including some time as a midfielder.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

Great for Foster, hope he is developing into something like his father was. I think we will pick him up whether seniors or at minimum a rookie.

If Fossie Jnr is half the player his old man was I'd be happy.

Fossie really should have been a 200 game player, damn Paul Deer

I'm hoping him to be the equivalent or better, such as Libba, Hunter or Wallis.
Ayce seems to be half as good as the old man and look how he is turning out.

Very amusing... Qualifying with the 100 games for F/S, half of Craig Ellis or Todd Curley might not make the grade either. Although i'd take 1/10th of Chris Grant though.
