Grant. Bring him back please.

He needed that sort of effort. Who goes out for him?
Ask me 5 minutes after the game.

Re: ROUND 18 - Werribee Tigers vs Footscray Bulldogs
I saw the first three quarters before heading off home.
Cordy was excellent, probably the best game I've seen him play. He was aggressive, his ruck work was impressive and he was good around the ground too. Kicked a goal and looked a much better player than he has previously. Howard seemed to hardly have an opponent, got quite a bit of it and used it pretty well. Grant was outstanding, his effort was fantastic with repeated efforts, a lot of tackles/pressure acts, used his pace and kicked goals. Should play seniors next week without doubt. Roberts was pretty solid, played on Daw and kept him dead quiet before Majak's injury.
Jones started well but faded, although his effort was still OK. Talia defended okay, some impressive efforts, but his skill was atrocious. He turned over the ball badly by foot at least 3 times under little pressure. Honeychurch was quiet-ish but still contributed. Redpath quiet. Overall, it was a pretty even/good team performance, really dominated Werribee.

TBB, glad to see Cordy getting some acknowledgement. He's been good for a number of weeks now. I left around the same time and went to watch the senior side play.

Grant should have been back in the side as soon as he was over his concussion. He improves our forward line enormously when he plays, regardless of who else is up there. He can play small at others feet, play as the lead-up CHF option or as an inside fifty target, and bring other players into the game in any of those roles. Now someone must make way.

Put Grant back in senior side, I agree. Having his deftness, marking, pace and goalkicking adding to the forward line is such a bonus. He has to show he will be consistent in his efforts but put him in and give him the chance to show what he adds. Apart from his own skills Grant creates a lot for others, if they can read him. He can be a real enzyme.
