    Best day at the footy

Well what a great afternoon that was. It may just be the reserves but its something our senior guys can look at and try and aim for in the AFL. The crowd was fantastic and I absolutely loved the Footscray chant that went around. We need for our AFL games in Victoria at Etihad or The MCG to have passion like today.

It's the VFL. But yes, it was a great day out.

May not have been the season proper and the Libba injury wasn't good but going to yesterday's match was right up there as one of my best days going to the footy.

Certainly was Easty. To see the old girl full of people put a huge smile on my face. Beating Richmond was the icing on the cake!
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

First game for Tom Boyd in Dogs colours and first game for Bob as captain was at Whitten Oval. Good omens.

Enjoyed the day, but it was only a practice match. Can't wait for the real stuff.

Even though yes it was a practice the feeling at the spiritual home was something I'll never forget.

Whether we live a few mins from the ground or several kilometres away like myself there is something unique for us Dogs fans about this ground.
