Thanks G. Seems Wright is firming as the main slider. With our experience of talls who we don't know where they fit in, or what position they play, Lamb would be an interesting selection. I've got some reservations on that call. I'm not sure Lonie is what we need either unless we think we can make a midfielder out of him, but he's talented no doubt. No genuine or outright KPPs is interesting too.

On potential Lamb would be a great pick but I can't see him lasting. There is a decent gap between his best and worst football which would concern me more if we were being linked to him in the first round.

Some glaring misses in this draft effort though.

To the last comment I was thinking something similar, or that they are crazy connected and know something everyone else doesn't know.

I know we have discussed him a few times GVGjr, but if Lamb is available, I really hope we take him. He does come with risk, but at 27, with the talent and potential he has, I'd be prepared to back him in.

Lonie would be a good pick up whoever takes - I'm near certain it won't be us, but Honeychurch was a similar pick up last year. Late in the draft, picks blokes who can play footy, which Lonie can do big time.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

It's a very good effort in my opinion. Interesting that they have us apparently interested in Kyle Langford and Reece McKenzie. I can't see Langford sliding but there is every chance that McKenzie could be there.

Yes, looks the most likely phantom I've seen so far, I think GWS highly likely to take De Goey at 6

As Id been looking at the draft hoping for a slider Id thought Langford was a chance but I also cannot really see him being there

Very interesting if Saints take RMcKenzie with that pick - completely justifies taking Petracca but also addressing key forwards

DMcKenzie looking unlikely to be there with our pick

EVW and Menadue would be a nice result, although I am not completely sold on the former. I was initially cold on Lamb via reports, but if his attitude is OK then I'd like to see us back ourselves in to develop him. Rare talent - could be a bit of a Jack Darling scenario if all went right.

Is 26/27 too early for Webb? Along with Menadue, he's one I hope we take.

GVGjr what is the appeal of Ed -VW? What role do you see him playing at afl level?
More of an In Bruges guy?

Sounds like a pretty good scenario for us.

Without answering for GVG, EVW would bring versatility in that he can play back on both smalls and mediums, push into the midfield and also provide leadership.

I think the appeal of VW is that he doesn't do much wrong. Potentially he can play a Morris type shut down role on numerous types, but his ball use is good and he could become a valuable offensive player. The scope to develop into a midfielder at his size, is also appealing.

I see Webb more as someone to go for in the 3rd round, but he may go earlier. Like you, I think he'd be a good fit for us.
