Wright is too good of a footballer to slide far in my opinion. Geelong probably have some good reasons not to select him given the way they have topped up on KPP but I'd still be surprised if he slipped past them.
Hasn't Goddard been the yoyo, while Lamb hasn't risen back. I'm not much into media stuff without a top 25 pick, it's purely guessing from them by that point. Although I'm more inclined as usual to guess with whichever way Emma Quayle goes.

Quayle is good but to be fair she usually only releases her PD on the day of the draft or the night before. By that stage, a lot of 'info' has surfaced.

One of the few journos in the world who subscribes to being right, not first. It's all hypothetical with our picks to be fair. 26-46 is a long way down.

Wright is dropping because he is a ruckman, not because he has done anything wrong. Lamb is dropping because no one knows what the hell he is. Funny thing with Lamb-Stringer might be the senior player who he is most 'like'...not sure whether people think that is good or bad.

De Goey looks and plays like a man hence is creeping up the order...just looks to be a certainty to make it and in such an even group his attack on the ball and 'do the little things well, run hard' playing style are earning him points.

On the journos, Quayle is determined to get 100 out of 100...the question is, what does she actually THINK? No one will ever know because her style at this time of the year is get close to the rm's and try and figure out that top 20. Since she actually watches some 18s footy, an occasional opinion from her wouldn't go astray...
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

Do people read mocks to go back and see who was right after draft day though? It's a subjective game and I want to read where a noted draft watcher rates players and how she sees them, not who Melbourne will take at 2 and 3 a few hours before the draft. Everyone acknowledges its a subjective game so that's what I'd prefer to read, no reason she can't come out with her own rankings earlier and then a who will take who draft when she gets here mail.

Edit- sorry, should've scrolled to MJP's post, not meaning to labour the point

Mjp and Lemmon I think you are selling Quayle short. Her top 20 or 25 each year are her opinion, not what she think will happen. From memory one year she had Tom Lee as the 25th best player and acknowledged he may not get drafted.

Every Sunday before the draft she names HER top 25.

Come draft day she names what will happen.

Short of putting they got 19 out of 20 draft selections right on their business card, some people do give credence to it. If I'm wrong correct me, but I think Emma Q got a lot of cut through as a newer journo when people realised she was spot on. I can understand (if that's the case) that she would prefer to keep her record of accuracy going. I think a rolling draft top 10 or 20 is far more interesting as a reader/viewer, but because it can jump around it can make one look unsure of opinion. Or maybe her editors want something specific to sell because she's the best phantom out there. She's my favourite footy journo with Whateley so I have no issue with her style. She's also interactive on Twitter & generally passes views there very freely if you have questions.

Lamb : Do we really want to risk another laconic tweener from the Stingrays? Let Gold Coast take him...

All I want to see in the write-ups for our picks is : good competitor, makes good decisions and hits targets under pressure. At picks 26+, everything else is negotiable.

Nope. Having dealt with her enough her focus is always the 'story' not the footy. As for the Tom Lee example-whatever...that would have come from the recruiters. She would have been on a plane back to Melbourne before he ran out to play for Claremont at 2:20pm.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.
