Reading your foo fighters adventures on the other thread got me thinking of the best gigs I've been to.

I think the best gig I saw was at Mt Buller a few years ago it went from friday night to Sunday afternoon andwhere Friday night was Primitive Calculators a favourite of mine from the '70s, Grinderman a Nick Cave side project then the reformed Saints. Awesome night.

The Bad Seeds played the best night but I passed out just before they came on and missed the first half hour.

INXS, Jimmy Barnes, Divinyls, Triffids, Saints, Models et al.
Front row ... Slept overnight to get them too (never drunk Bundy since)

Black Sabbath in London December 1999.
Fu Manchu at Corner Hotel around 2000 I think.
Sprung Monkey at Barwon Club Geelong late 90s.
Faith No More at Geelong West Town Hall on the Real Thing tour around 1989.

Other great gigs have been the Melvins at the Woolshed, Geelong, Monster Magnet at the Palais and Budd at the Barwon Club, Geelong.

Black Sabbath in London December 1999.
Fu Manchu at Corner Hotel around 2000 I think.
Sprung Monkey at Barwon Club Geelong late 90s.
Faith No More at Geelong West Town Hall on the Real Thing tour around 1989.

Other great gigs have been the Melvins at the Woolshed, Geelong, Monster Magnet at the Palais and Budd at the Barwon Club, Geelong.

Saw Black Sabbath in the 70's when they toured, great concert.

Vampire weekend or Radiohead on their latest tours, both put on fantastic shows. Great sound, atmosphere and lights and great frontman.

Tool would have to be the worst, I'm a huge Tool fan but both times I've seen them Maynard really couldn't be buggered being there, hiding up the back half cut slurring his words (or even forgetting them). Never again.

Too many gigs to chose from.

Any TISM gig was awesome.

Plenty of other gigs that were awesome - Faith No More; Horden Pavilion - late '90s. Hunters last show in the late 90's.
The Stranglers (a few years ago-without Hugh Cornwall) and then Hugh Cornwall playing Rattus Norvegicus.

Teenage Fanclub always put on a good gig - more for the diehard fans.

Went to a university gig by Grinspoon. Small, sweaty, loud = good time. Not the very, very best band, but a good gig.

Loved Foo Fighters, 3 hours of genuine rock songs by a group so tight and having so much fun.

Probably Cold Chisel a few years ago. Was a perfect concert. Really enjoyed the showmanship of George Thorogood and the Destroyers about 30 years ago. hoodoo gurus were sensational in the 80s, so where the Angels. "Underground" by the Angels, "bullet the blue sky" by U2 and "gimme shelter" by the Rolling Stones are the three songs I've seen live that still make my neck hairs stand up thinking about them being played now. Possibly the worst live gig I've seen was zz top

Yes it was. Angus had a Zorro outfit on. Wore that before he started wearing the school uniform.

The best ACDC gig was at the Totty Hotel, an unbelievable night.
