Another thread reference Eddie Van Halen and keyboards. Got me thinking about your favourite pianist or keyboard player, any genre of music from anytime in human history.
For me, I'm not a classics man like Beethoven or Mozart (I know, I know, breathe and relax from this big surprise). So watching older movies growing up a few stand out but I won't steal them all. So, particularly Ray Charles in The Blues Brothers putting 'some action into this keyboard' and his character being prepared to 'throw in the black keys for free'. And I'm always, always amazed watching Chico (of the Marx Brothers) and his unique style. Particularly in 'A Night at The Opera'.
My favourite is terms of loving their music and his sheer brilliance is 90's rocker, Ben Folds. I remember being home the day he smashed up Geoff Harvey's own piano on The Midday Show, and the shocked look on Harvey's face was hilariously priceless. Ben would later say he thought it was one of their pianos from the tour and didn't know it was Harvey's.
