Yeah best breakfast show ever. Do you remember the so called work experience kids from Mildura?

Vaguely-a lot of my life from that period sort of runs into each other and as a result I'm a bit vague on names, places, people, events and all that palavah.

      I remember footy though.

To me for podcasts to work well it needs to be a very regular thing and the ones I have typically followed from time to time just aren't frequent enough.
I listen to a few investing ones but while some of them are time well spent others are just a waste.

I usually download them and listen in the car or when I'm walking or doing housework. Time when I wouldn't really be doing anything else outside of listening to the radio.

I have the opposite problem. I have too many to keep up with.

If you're interested in investing, check out Invest Like The Best. The most recent episode with Ali Hamid, a 26 year old venture capitalist, was great.

I spend a fair bit of time traveling for work so the podcasts are always handy for downtime, waiting time, flights...

I have too many to keep up with so I pick and choose a bit depending on topics/guests. But currently have on the go.

                    The Howie Games (Sporting guests)
                    Joe Rogan (varied topics/guests)
                    The Sweetest Plum (Comedy)
The Fighter & The Kid (Plus also 'Big Brown Breakdown' which is an off shoot of this). (Comedy/MMA)
                    The Sounding Board (Sports media)

I've downloaded that Tony Martin/Geraldine Quinn series - but just haven't gotten to it yet. Plus I have have a couple of radio show podcasts listed so that I can pick up segments I missed but may want to listen to afterwards (ie. When a bulldogs player has been on!).

Love the Sweetest Plum. Some episodes better than others but there’s many laugh out loud moments. The Tony Martin Geraldine Quinn podcast is bemusing but not amazing

                        Some podcasts that I enjoy:

-Freakonomics Radio (From one of the authors of the book, always insightful)

-Revisionist History (Fascinating storytelling from Malclom Gladwell)

-The History of Rome (Great one for the history buffs. It's amazing how often history repeats itself)

-The Physical Performance Show - (Lots of great guests like Benita Willis, Craig Mottram, Eloise Wellings, Rob de Castella, Steve Moneghetti, Bernard Lagat, Lisa Weightman and many others)

-The Bill Simmons Podcast (This is super if you are a fan of US sports. The episodes where Malcolm Gladwell is a guest are always special.)

-50 Things That Made the Modern Economy (Short episodes around things that have made a difference to how we live from the BBC)

It's frightening how often history repeats itself. I didn't like the way the world was going a while back so I literally got off and waited until things started to improve. It's nearly at the stage where I'm ready to take the world on again.

Wow, plenty of recommendations above for me to look into.

There's a lot of ordinary ones out there but i've enjoyed:

                            5 live's football daily - epl

                            Conversations - ABC

The debrief with Dave O'Neil - where Dave speaks to another comedian in his car straight after a gig; all types of gigs.

Desert Island Discs - BBC institution that's run for 75 years. Lots of shows .

Dr Karl on jjj - 45 minute science question phone in

'Here's the thing' with Alex Baldwin - Baldwin does very good interviews with others in the entertainment industry

                            History Extra podcast

                            Irish History podcast

Le Show - Harry Shearer's take on the week.

Mastertapes - Excellent music show where a performer is interviewed about an album from their career in front of a live audience. And then in the second part of the show the audience gets to ask questions.

                            My Dad Wrote a Porno

Sodajerker on songwriting - 2 Liverpool songwriters get to interview famous songwriters about their work. Interesting perspective.

WTF with Marc Maron - US comedian interviews a guest in his garage. I didn't realize how big he was until i saw that one of his interviewer was Obama.....

It does sound good. The only problem would be Dave O' Neil on it.
