I spent the best 3 years of my life in year 8!

Actually when we did year 9 there was a kid who was repeating it for the third time. He went on to distinguish himself by getting shot dead by Chopper Read in the carpark of a disco in St Kilda. There's a picture of him in Chopper's first book. Under the picture it says "he was a drug dealer. I shot him dead, no great loss" or words to that effect.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Chris Liapas. I just had a look in Read's first book. There's a picture of him (really he hadn't changed a lot from high school, which isn't surprising given he was already 18 or so by the time we did year 9 with him) in the photo section and underneath it says "Chris Liapas. He was a drug dealer and I put a slug in his guts"

He's not the only kid I went to high school with that met a violent death. Six of the kids I did year twelve with met their end at the wrong end of a gun. Three of them died in the Balkin wars, two on the siege of Sarajevo and one who just went missing. Two were shot dead in Los Angeles one by a jealous husband and another in a drug deal gone wrong and another went missing in Greece and turned up dead.

The fact that six of them were shot dead is balanced out by the fact that the same number are or have served sentences in Australia and overseas for murder or manslaughter. The last one was Borce Ristevski who was found guilty a couple of years ago of killing his wife.

I was also in the same year level with the brother of Pat Lanciano who was found guilty last year of one of Victoria's biggest armed robberies in Richmond in 1987.

              Happy days!

I'm not entirely certain how much mayo is on TD's stories but surely a self published book is in the works? Or alternately you could sell them to some rich boring billionaire so they can write an autobiography (Kramer and Mr.Petermen style). Or alternatively we have a dedicated thread on woof?

PS; Poor Easty, TD has once again derailed and overtaken a thread which is wholesame and showcasing what is good in the world... now, not so much.
More of an In Bruges guy?

It's criminal. (See what I did there?)

No mayo but I have to admit that I probably wouldn't believe them either unless it was me who'd lived through them all.

You know those forms and legal documents they put on the inside cover of the Underbelly books? It could be the charge sheet of a renowned criminal or the record of interview from an infamous crime?

Well one of my cousins was the licensing Sergeant a Melbourne police station and he provided a notorious Melbourne criminal figure (he may have disappeared when he was on bail and ended up being extradited from Greece after being pictured in a terrible wig) with a recommendation for a liquor licence and it ended up being on the inside cover of one the Underbelly books!

When Easty is my age I'm sure he will be able to look back on the high!ights of a dangerous life and have plenty of stories that he'll be able to derail someone else's threads with.

They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
