Seeing it is Xmas I thought I would start a thread "What's your favourite tipple?"

Today I received an early gift from my wife. A favourite of mine. A bottle of Glenfiddich 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 700 ml. Here is a bit about it.

Glenfiddich 12 year old single malt whisky has a sweet, fruity taste with notes of pear, butterscotch, cream and oak. Followed by a long, smooth, mellow finish
Matured in fine Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks for 12 years, this special whisky is the perfect example of Glenfiddich's unique Speyside style. Glenfiddich 12 year old makes the perfect gift for any whisky drinker
Awarded `Master' (highest honour) at the Global Spirits Masters Awards 2017 and Scotch Whisky Masters 2019 and the best-selling single malt Scotch whisky in the world
Produced using Highland spring water from the Valley of the Deer, this distinct whisky is proclaimed to the best dram in the valley and has the awards to back this up
A uniquely inventive single malt whisky, complete with its presentation tube to make the ideal whisky gift.

What's yours?.....it could even be lemon, lime & bitters even orange juice.

Gin & tonic is my drink of choice.

Favourite bottle I’ve had recently is called The Botanist. Unreal botanicals.

I really like The Botanist gin in a gin and tonic. When having a martini I prefer something a bit more rudimentary like a Plymouth, which I was introduced at Der Raum in Richmond when it was up and running.

Single malt scotch is my go to tipple, with the Ardbeg range appealing most to my tastes. I managed to pick up a bottle of The Glenlivet 12y.o. for $58.00 the other day which was pretty good I thought. If not in the mood for a single malt, you can usually find good pricing on the Dimple range as well.
      TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

I love a Gin & Tonic using Tonic syrup. I mainly buy Patient Wolf Gins.

I'm a gin and tonic man. I always go back to Opihr gin, simply the best for mine and $50 a bottle. Nice and balanced on the palate.

My finger lime in fruiting atm so I squeeze a couple of those in . If you haven't tried them you should, like little pearls of flavour

Do you have a preferred tonic? I like Fever Tree.

Vodka, lime and soda. Only 67 calories per drink for those on a health regimen - such a refreshing drink in summer.

I also love a simple whisky on ice. Japanese whiskies are my favourite.

G&T rounding out the podium. Hendricks with cucumber - I had English clients for 15 years who got me onto that particular combination.

I like Capi the best, but Fever Tree is nice too. Not as fizzy as Schweppes and they both have a better flavour.

Try Tonic syrup with some sparkling water - gives it a whole different taste. If I don't have any tonic syrup, I also use Capi.

I love reading stuff like this.

You lead others to a treasure I cannot possess for I am just an uncultured beer swilling bogan.

Not even good beer either. There's nothing better than a cold Carlton Draught on a hot day.

I'm with you EW, although I have a much broader palate, I enjoy all sorts of craft beers as well!

I actually prefer a nice wine, but you can't beat a beer on a hot day.
