Re: Video Game Thread
It was called 'Arch Rivals', I liked it too....it was originally in the arcades, then ended up on consoles.
You could punch the player with the ball to make them drop it, or if they dunk it you could still belt them when they landed. You could also pull their pants down to make them trip up
I have always been a huge video game player.
I reckon I have owned most consoles at some stage.
Atari 2600
Sega master system
Sega mega drive
Super Nintendo
Playstation 1 & 2
Nintendo 64
Sega Dreamcast
Xbox
Nintendo Wii
Xbox 360
Also played a heap of PC games over the years, mostly shooters, but a few I've liked recently are, Bioshock, Stalker (shadow of chernobyl) and Trackmania United Forever - can recommend Trackmania, there is a free download of Trackmania Nations, which allows you to play and earn rankings etc without spending a cent.
I have recently got rid of the consoles, and now just have a Nintendo DS Lite. Its great if you go somewhere and know you may have a bit of time to kill.
I just found consoles getting too samey with genres of games and nothing new and exciting, a lot of the time it is an updated version of a game that was around last year.
Ive also got MAME, I use a old style joystick with LH for direction and RH for button bashing, just like in the old arcades !!!!
I also love pinball.......
