Underbelly - Tale of 2 cities

What did people think of the Episode 1 of this series?
Personally too much of Bert's son backside, know he will be called moonface too.

Did ring up my relatives in Griffith today asking when 'lunch' was coming around.

    I liked it.

I clearly remember the Great Bookie Robbery and Donald Mackay's murder. I'm also facinated to see how Christopher Dale Flannery's character develops.

I spoke to a someone who seems to think Trimbole's role in the McKay's murder is overplayed while the role of another local Griffith crime figure Antonio Sergi is underplayed.

They had the Donald Mackay murder on Criminal Investigations a few months ago (documentary style true murders type show). They implicated Antonio Sergi in Mackay's murder far moreso than Robert Trimbole.

Heard some other 'truths' from Griffith locals. Trimbole didn't have a farm at the time, know he was declared bankrupt at one stage earlier. Quote was 'wife didn't have enough money to feed the kids'.
La Scala (location for his alibi) didn't exist at the time.

It was a good likeness for Trimbole as was MacKay. Al Grasby was way off, Barbara MacKay uncanny-very similiar, and Mackay's work mate not the same.

              Episode 3 was piss poor.
Need to rename series Overbelly as for the number of breasts seen in this episode.
Very little story tonight and way too much Neighbours style drama.

They were very nice breasts but the rest of the episode could have been knocked off in about 15 minutes.

                Disappointing.

Yes they were. Twodog messaged me complaining, he likes Matthew Newton's backside.

I must admit it was a bit too much sex, supposed to be about the drug trafficking not a soft porn film.

The chick that played Alison was hot she could have paraded around all night without her top as far as I'm concerned :P

Anna Hutchison is the name you were looking for.

I'm sure that Alison whatshername wasnt waving her tit's around all the time. Yep they are nice but can we please actually have some story to go with them?
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

It's a "developing" plot I've seen worse drama, and although I normally don't get sucked into crime drama, I still quite enjoyed the first series & the first episode (although they don't hold a patch on East/West 101 on SBS last year).

But does it have to have all the tit and sex in it?
If the actual story is as good as people say, why are they filling 30 min out of 60 with sex every week.
The first underbelly was fantastic it only showed sex relating to the story and stayed on the story line.
This is more like soft porn with the excuse to make people watch it as the McKay murder.
Im interested in the story not how many times baby Newton gets a pretend root.
