Fact is Trimbole & Terry Clarke never knew each other, until a month after Donald Mackay was murdered.

Credibility of the show goes out the window right there.

I can't believe how slow this show is.
We have had 7/8? episodes so far and its gone 3 years (1976-79)!
With all the mindless padding there, the story could have been done in 3-4 episodes.

I watched an episode of The Wire on DVD the other night. When it finished I saw Ch 9 was half way through an episode of Underbelly so I started watching. Then I stopped.
The difference in quality between the 2 was stark to say the least and the dialogue in UB was frickin awful. It just comes across as sensationalist, exploitative rubbish. Nobody in it comes across as a person, they're all just caricatures and stereotypes.

The Wire is a very well done show though. Up there with Sopranos in my eyes.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

It just highlighted the difference between a really great show and a not really great show.

Sopranos was ok up unitl the final episode. That was quite possible the worst ending of a TV show I have seen. Cant believe they took the easy way out.
For a great TV series and a great ending to a TV series watch Life on Mars the UK version.
More of an In Bruges guy?

Sopranos dropped off in the last series or two, but hey if you didn't follow Deadwood you don't know disappointment. Talk about a disappointing conclusion. Although to be fair, it got cancelled without the chance to end things right. There was talk of a movie but nothing as yet. Swearengen needs closure I tells ya.

I didn't mind the ending, just because it left so many questions un-answered. They are still planning to make a movie, at least as far as I know.
