Definitely part of it. Generally a bit of a better, more relaxed vibe than at many of the other pubs in Brisbane.

Don't mind Little Creatures Pale Ale, nice and refreshing drop.

I agree. They've tried to connect the beer with a history that just isn't there. It's massive marketing ploy that is probably working because the line is doing very well.

La Chouffe is my favourite Euro beer, the large bottle with the little gnome on it - fantastic with a medium steak.

Cascade have also gone through a rebrand that has seen their “slab” go from 24 to 16 beers! Ouch… I love their beer, so I still buy it, but I can see it being a poor decision long term. Most people are going to look at the sheer volume and pick a 24-bottle slab.

            Yes yes & YES!

The Hop Hog leads a formidable range of Aussie IPAs - Vale & Sleepy Giant are great too.

German Hefeweizens are so nice - Schofferhoffer probably my favourite. There was a brewery in South Melbourne called Emerald Hill that did a hefe that had a banana after taste...brilliant! Mate of mine brewed one that had a bubblegum aftertaste...also brilliant!

Some of the Thunder Road beers (Collingwoid & Hop Star) are ok. Angry Man's a nice drop.

I love that craft beer is huge today

Cracking brewery/pub too, worth a visit for anyone not familiar (Woodend - I caught a VLine train for lunch one day)

Really like the 4 Pines Kolsch & Stout. Also like the Squire Pilsener & the Monteith's Golden Lager and quite like the Monteith's Black Beer as well.

Do you guys like the Jim Beam or Jack Daniels mixed with Coca Cola. Once you get used to the taste it goes down very well.

I tried a Young and Jackson's Naked Ale yesterday, and feel it is in my solemn duty of care to warn my brother Woofers off it! terrible drop.

I had a Caribbean Dark Rum Lager, however, from Thunder Road I think, that whilst different and what I would call an acquired taste, wasn't half bad.

I also had an Alpha Pale Ale the other day, very nice drop.

I quite like Bitburger. Sometimes on special at Dan Murphy's for $30 too.

Bought myself a bottle of Rogue voodoo doughnut peanut butter, chocolate and banana ale yesterday, was $27 for one 750ml bottle, so was a little anxious to try it today. Wasn't disappointed, really like rogues beers, they also do a maple bacon ale that I am yet to try.
