Saw David Smorgon in the Northern Stand at Ballarat yesterday. I thanked him for all his efforts over the years and had a brief chat about my experience of flying back from Indonesia in 2016. I told him the smile on his face during that Finals campaign was a metre wide. He laughed. Good bloke.
