Miller's crossing is brilliant. That scene where the gangster is slapping the bjesus out of his fat kid, then cuddling him is hilarious.

Like most who have posted before me, I'm a lover of all gangster movies.
For mine, Goodfellas is the best. I just love everything about it, great story that goes through a few changing eras, great soundtrack, great acting. A number of classic scenes which have really become a part of modern culture and are referenced frequently. I've probably watched it about 20 times
Others for mine are Godfather 1&2, Casino, and Scarface.
Jackie Brown is one that I haven't seen mentioned yet and is another one that I really enjoyed. Although a bit like Pulp Fiction isn't perhaps one I'd strictly classify as a gangster movie.
Funny, I have never seen Pulp Fiction as a gangster flick and it's my favourite film.
Really? Vincent, Jules, Marcellis Wallace and the Wolf are all gangsters and the rest of the film mainly covers their interactions with other characters. Maybe Butch is more boxer than gangster but the story hints at a dark past.
I checked on a few sites and they mostly call it a crime film/black comedy.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
Cop Land is one of my favorites. A really underrated movie. And for once, Ray Liota is the good guy ( sort of )

I love Gangster films, and recently re-watched Scarface. It has dated TERRIBLY and in my opinion is actually a very bad film. Pacino is excellent , but the script and the support actors arent even in the same postcode. 3/10

By far the best montage of any film in the history of films, however. Aside from that, I tend to agree.
TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.
