Many posters don't have Foxtel, but want the latest shows from the USA or even the UK, as well as the latest movies.
This article shows you how. I have had this running on my home TV setup for over a year.
Basically what you need is:
1. Apple TV - Cost $109. or you could go Android if you wanted, there are many devices. Aple TV has built in WIFI, but you can also use ethernet if your internet outlet cable is near by.
2. IT Tunes - USA account - easy to get
3. USA Gift card - you will need to top up your Itunes account with money as it doesn't accept Australian Credit cards.
4. Sign up to a VPN like the article mentions. I use www.unblock-us.com, but there are others like unotelly.
5. Its all easy to set up and you can now sign up to things like Netflix, Hulu and others. Also you can download apps to your IPAD or IPHONE and then using airplay screen them on your TV through the apple TV device. I have done this for IVIEW, SBS on demand, BBC IPlayer etc. there are also apps that allow you to stream from your computer to the IPAD then on to your TV through the appleTV.
Itunes USA also has more up todate movies you can rent than the Australian version. Many movies at the theatre here are already on Itunes USA.
Make sure you have enough data download from your broadband provider.
Shows like Breaking Bad, Modern family etc can be viewed the day after they are watched in the USA.
If you want any help, I am happy to give you any advice. Happy viewing.
