Best Chicken and Chips shops in Melbourne

I've got a local one near me now since moving last year. Tasty chick on Charcoal on Whitehorse Road, Balwyn as well is not as good as my previous local one in Vermont South but still decent. Anyway what is the best chicken shop you have bought from?

Hot Wings Charcoal Chicken in Williamstown used to be a family favourite when I lived down there.
Chicken was great but the chips used were brilliant.
Has new owners now and not to sure what it is like.
Featured a few TV shows and commercials including Underbelly.

Plumer Rd in Rose Bay, Sydney. Easily the best.

Ok it's not in Melbourne but we are national aren't we?

Yep no worries The Doctor. You may as well give suggestions from all over as quite a few woofers don't live in Victoria. When I go to Sydney again maybe ill have to try it one night.

Can't believe Chadz Chickenhaus on (Ballarat Rd, Sunshine) hasn't got a mention. philipino joint that does the most delicious butterfly chicken with a BBQ glaze you are ever likely to eat. Half a chook with rice or chips for about a tenner, brilliant!

This is a franchise but I've been really getting into Nando's chicken lately. If you don't like spices then its not for you but for me with a large coke it goes down well. Also like the chips with the peri salt.

I don't mind Nando's Eastie, they don't miss you with their pricing though!

Yes it is quite pricey. Definitely don't have it all the time. For a long time I did not eat Nandos until quite recently.

They are in Chapel st up the Windsor end.

I do enjoy Japanese style fried chicken (Karaage).

Anyone tried a chicken place called Chicken Central? Had lunch there today and thought they were ok. First time though I've been there since they recently opened up near my place.
