Blatter 're-elected. So the organisation maintains the same leadership that has presided during the course of these corruption allegations. Thus effectively endorsing Blatter's leadership during this crisis.

Are they serious that they want change? It doesn't appear that way. Where to now for FIFA? As they have now lost any credibility that they once had.

Maybe UEFA should threaten to boycott the next WC unless there is real change.

Why do you think he pressed on with the elections?

His opposition, as organised as it might be, was always going to struggle with only two days to lobby non-Western nations and affect change.

I haven't bothered with much of the World Cup for the last two years outside of games Australia has participated within. The integrity of world soccer has been on the nose for a very long time now, and if it took a boycott of the next World Cup from UEFA to clean things up then I'd be happy.
      TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

That's the threat UEUFA made yesterday. See how well the WC goes without Germany, England, France and the rest.

Good luck with the presidency this time around, Sep being in a Federal US prison might make it a bit difficult. Pretty soon the Warners of this World will turn on him.

This ain't over. Not by a long shot.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

          Told you:

Sepp Blatter is to resign as president of Fifa amid a corruption scandal and is reportedly under investigation in the US.

Swiss prosecutors going after Blatter and the heir apparent after arrests.

Maybe we need a World Cup to determine which country gets the right to jail him.

He would be praying a South American team didn't win, with how serious they are about soccer he could end up with a death penalty.

Mmmm, interesting. A penalty shoot out?

He should just go the Ecudorian embassy in London. I hear that's a comfortable place to stay to avoid Swiss and U.S. authorities.

IS it the Swiss that were after Assange? I could have sworn it was the Swedes.

How wonderful would it be for all of this stuff just to come crashing down around him one day. He'll be left looking just like King Louie in The Jungle Book, holding up the last tiny piece of concrete amidst a pile of rubble.

I was hoping no one would pick that up.
