I wonder if there was a big fight between Wade and White to get the pads on and get to the wicket to hit the winning runs? If I was Dan Christian I would have snuck the pads on and ran out before anyone cold stop me. I'd love to hit the winning runs in something as big as a Shield final. Especially in Adelaide

Does anyone remember Victoria winning the Shield back in the late 80s, might have been early 90s. Anyway it was a bit of an ice breaker after ten or fifteen seasons. Next morning a few of the players stumbled onto breakfast TV and I think it was a very tipsy Jamie Siddons who slurred "we won the Sheffield Shield and then we had a little drink"when asked how they had celebrated.
