Interesting going into the last test of the series with the tourists a chance to level the series, and several changes to the Australian team.
I am heading over on Friday morning to go to day 1 and do the weekend in Adelaide. A few mates and I did it last year - and decided we would try and make it an annual thing. Group has swelled to 9 or 10 for this year - so should be a big weekend. -

Used to do the Adelaide Test with my beloved every year until children arrived to cramp our style. Happy days.Comment

Today Smith said:
"There's probably a little bit more grass than I anticipated to be on it. That added bit of grass probably swayed our decision. I think it is going to be a good Test match for us. I think the facilities here are outstanding, I think the wicket is going to be a little bit more difficult perhaps than the Shield match, but I don't think the conditions will be too dissimilar, so hopefully we can see a good five days of Test cricket."
I think we can all agree it's good news. I'm tipping Starc for a big haul, he should be deadly with the pink ball in twilightComment

Definitely happy to see a lively pitch, but giving us 2 roads for the traditional tests and then a juicier pitch for the day/night just reeks of poor planning. If wickets tumble in this match, especially during the night sessions, the whingers will come from everywhere.Comment

A good move by the powers that be that run test cricket. Need to try and revitalise the game. Hopefully this is the start and it turns out a success.
There has been some talk about the safery aspect and that the pink ball will be hard to pick up around dusk. Every safety concern is warranted, but I hope for the sake of the game that there are no issues in that regard.Comment

Really even bowling performance so far. Sidds, Hazlewood and Lyon have all hit great areas and extracted just enough from the pitch to keep the batsman honest. Starc was a bit all over the shop early but you'll take it when he dismisses Williamson. That's really the strength of this attack and having Siddle in it, so much value in having someone that you know what you'll get from them.
Four down and there isn't much to come.
Make it five! Terrible dismissal from McCullum. The coach should be dragging him over some hot coals when he's out there with a bloke on debut and playing that shotComment
