Re: Third Test, Australia V Windies- SCG
I vividly remember both those tests. Tests like that didn't happen once every ten years let alone one after the other. I can remember walking to school the day after Edgbaston virtually in shock. I certainly was having trouble thinking about anything else. They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.Comment

For bored Test fans amidst all this rain, I stumbled across this article which ranks the 50 greatest individual Test performances in recent decades. Good little conversation starter.
Sole Aussie in Top 10: Bob Massie!
That VVS Laxman knock in Kolkata was simply astonishing to watch in its own right, but set against a backdrop of a follow on against arguably the best test team ever assembled, and it stands alone in my view.Comment

I can just imagine the bad hair cut and pastels crossed with navy on your clothing, and the stupefied look on your face.TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.Comment

The 70/80's uniform, that basically equated to child abuse. I wore some of the worst parkas in kinda and primary school from about 1983 - always over horrible navy over Clarke's school shoes (not to mention the hair cuts).
On special days I was allowed to wear desert boots with cords and a jumper that matched the one my brother who was two years older than me wore.
I blame all of this on the confusion caused by the Beatles breaking up, and progressive rock and disco clashing to the point nobody knew what they were doing.TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.Comment

Cricket Australia should read this thread when considering the test schedule for next year, especially in lieu of NSWCA requesting a second test to be played under lights.........TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.Comment

The uniform wasn't the only way that whole 70s educational experience could be equated to child abuse. Some of the ideas on punishment could be a bit extreme. They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.Comment

1) Australia bats out a draw in front of 50 people
or, more likely
2) There'll be more rain and they give up completely
What's not to get excited about.Western Bulldogs: We exist to win premiershipsComment

My mum reckons that some members of her family would get into a fight sealed in a room by themselves. I think Warney (God love him) would find thiirsty people in the same circumstances. They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.Comment
