Jon Holland called into the Test squad to replace O'Keefe (hamstring injury). A strong chance to make his debut in the second test.

Getting walloped and once again the technique with the batting is the issue. I think we have had only one score over 50 in both of our innings.

We gave it away on day two by not getting a better score.

lost by over 100 runs against a side who hasn't got near anyone in two years ..
Need to stop playing fast bowlers who bowl short and not play blokes who can't play spin bowling.
Siddle would be a huge asset against Sri Lanka and Warner has no idea with swing or spin.
I think the selectors are a disgrace.

Bit hard to play Siddle with back stress fractures I'd have thought.

The quicks were the least of our trouble. Hazlewood was clearly the best bowler in the first innings, Starc in the second.

We lost this with our batting on day 2, as Smith said post-match

I don't think it's good enough that well paid batsmen can't hone their skills in different conditions.

Based on which of his 3 first class centuries? The one in the Shield final in which South Australia didn't play a spinner or the two against Queensland on debut when Queensland's leggie Cam Boyce went for 0/140.

If we're just going to rattle off Victorians at least talk about Handscomb who has an actual proven ability to play spin bowling

So you are highly critical of selections and yet haven't come up with alternatives except for an already injured bowler?

no I haven't I'm not a selector and not in the know if what's around but just try some one else instead of playing players that aren't suited to certain conditions.
