When he went to Miami, he bailed on a city/team with a tragic past to team up with 2 fellow all-stars in a glamorous city. When he won titles it sent a message to players all around the world in all codes that the way to win is to take the easy route. This, in my opinion is akin to joining the desirable clubs in the AFL for a chance at success - i.e. Collingwood or the current successful teams i.e. Hawthorn, Geelong etc.

So when he chose to return to Cleveland i wanted that decision to be rewarded. The decision to stick with a team with the tragic past, that will have to win things the hard way. Because the message this sends is to stick with it, don't cop out and go the easy option and enjoy the journey because it will be that much more sweeter and meaningful when you succeed. I'm hoping Lebron's success with Cleveland is motivation for the players at the doggies - a number of them NBA fans - because seeing his joy and emotion in winning with Cleveland was 1000 times more than all his titles at Miami combined. What would you get more out of? Winning a flag for the dogs after being with them your whole career, or doing a Brian Lake and winning with Hawthorn in your first year? I know which one would be more meaningful.

Note: Obviously, there are mixed messages in Lebrons career as he did both leave to win titles the easy way and then return to win it the hard way. But his case is different in that he is a native of Cleveland. I'm not advocating players of the bulldogs to go join Hawthorn, win a flag and then return. It's the latest chapter in Lebrons career that needs to be advocated
LeBron himself said that after he won his first title at Miami, he expected to feel an outpouring of emotion, tears etc. It didn't come. Same for the 2nd one. You only have to look at his reaction after yesterday's game to see that it's different.

Imagine Libba leaving us for GWS! Can't even bear to think about it.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Yep, i haven't seen such raw emotion after a win like that in some time. That sort of emotion will be EVERYWHERE if the doggies win it.

I suggest people watch ESPN special Believeland .
Shows the struggle of Cleveland since 64 and the heartache in particular of the Indians and Browns .

A half second too late, the ball hits the backboard and he gets called for a goal tend. Instead it's an all time great NBA moment.
Tayshaun Prince in the ECF on Reggie Miller was huge. I'll have to watch them in comparison

Really happy for Cleveland - amazing history to create from 3-1 down, where LeBron's legacy was looking decidedly bleak having gone missing late in game 4. He turned up with some huge defensive plays in both remaining games in Oakland.

On the GOAT - it's Jordan, but there's little merit comparing the two for mine given they play different positions.

I also want to add my love to the Bring Back The Sonics campaign - if they ever get back in, I'll have a team.

I'm chasing a team to follow casually.

Feels wrong following the Cavs or GSW right now, and yeah, there's always the Bulls but come on, they just traded Derrick Rose!

                Maybe the Timberwolves?

I'm a Sonics man and always will be but when the Hornets became the Pelicans I decided to lightly follow them. Jump on board, nothing wrong with the Brow!

T-Wolves are a great choice. Towns will be great.

                        2nd that.

Depends what you are looking for in a team. As a dogs fan, you must like the underdog status and the T-Wolves fit that to a ..... well T.

They are an up and coming team. After being on the bottom for a few years, they've got 2 number one draft picks who look the goods and a few other young guns as well. They'll add the no 5 pick tomorrow too. Will be pushing for playoffs from next season so a great time to start following them.

I can't remember what team I followed in the NBA when I watched it. Whoever Magic Johnson played for. He is my favourite.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

                              That'd be the LA Lakers.
