In the meantime is the best stop gap keeper Wade? He hasn't been awful this time around. It's hard to tell how good his batting has been though he hasn't batted long enough to know.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I've been disappointed with Wade this summer. I think the bloke who started as the test keeper this summer did a better job

Neville was pretty bad before he was he was replaced.

He's getting himself out and that says a bit. He's also cost Lyon a couple of wickets. He's lucky to have a spot

He's only in the team because Nevill talks less than Humphrey Bear behind the stumps. Needs a big score this test to hold his spot for India I reckon.

You're right about Wade costing Lyon. I think everyone who has played more than 2 tests this summer has dropped a catch off him though.

Not hard at all, he hasn't had one innings with double figures. Shield figures are not much better.

I was biting a bit sarcy. He's in shocking form.

It's actually a bit embarrassing to watch. He's so out of form with the bat so they promote him to international cricket and he's a class behind.

I got the sarcasm straight away. He doesn't stay at the crease long enough to know if he can bat or not.

Now Renshaw is a player I can get behind. Compliments Warner perfectly.

                      Renshaw
                      Warner
                      Usman
                      Smith

Pretty solid top 4 and Handscombe is performing well in the 5 spot.

Pace bowlers are sorted and Lyon is still international quality. It really is only the 6th spot and the keeper that needs sorting, but that being said, it's a big hole in the middle order and will be our downfall against quality teams if we don't find a solution. What we would give for prime Hussey and Gilly.

Yeah I agree, Wade's talking and keeping the energy levels up are probably a bonus for him at the moment. As TwoDogs said the cupboard is pretty bare at the moment.

Was Handscombe still keeping for Victoria before he was selected?

He's making short leg his position with some outstanding catches, but is his keeping good enough for test level? Could we drop Wade and bring in another specialist bat?

I've loved Renshaw but Handscombe has had a brilliant start to his career. Hasn't got out for less than 50 yet.

No he hasn't been keeper for a while. Part timer in that position, not something that we can afford to do.

Wades a part time keeper as well, the ball seems to part him and the slips on many occasions.
