    Re: UEFA Champions League 2017/18

Gotta admit that is the first and only time in my like that I've heard of a Spurs won and thought "get down" I very nearly punched the air.

Only thing that would have made it better was if it was Barca they beat. I might have even fist pumped someone if that had happened.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

The big boys had a gap year that year. Spurs big chance to win it.

That doesn't explain a bottling comment. First year many of our team played together, widely predicted to finish 6th at best at the start of the season and never were in a position to win it.

What Newcastle did is bottling it. What Liverpool (Gerrard to be specific) is bottling it.
We bottled finishing second that year

Yes and Leicester weren’t predicted to win the league either. Perhaps bottling it was a harsh call, but it was anyone’s title outside the big boys, and spurs had their chance . They’ve got a good squad and a top draw manager, but they need to win some trophies.

That was a transition year. We finished 14/15 winning 3 of our last 8 and started 15/16 with a draw and 3 losses. By Christmas we had lifted into 4th, 9 points behind Leicester and 4 points behind Arsenal who had a game in hand.

Bottling it isn't a harsh call, it's just not close to reality. Even after winning 10 out of 14 games we were still 5 points behind Leicester.

Leicester had an incredible year really but people were too busy writing them off all the time (me included) to really acknowledge it. 3 losses for the year is brilliantly consistent

Good first up result vs Juve, esp. after being 2-0 down in the first 10 minutes

                    Lol you idiot.

Now thats the Chelsea of old. Big performance on a big European night. Bloody should have won that though and the draw feels a little like a loss. Back to Barca all square.

85th minute dodgy penalty to Barca over there. Book it in.

Man, they were flopping around like fish once we scored. Such a scummy cheating club.

They are unbelievable aren't they? They are one of two FIFA and EUFA officially endorsed teams.

                          Pathetic.

Good result but you really needed to be up going over there. If there was one player on your list I could have it would be Willian.

I despise SAF but that was single greatest team talk ever.

Maybe with Rockne's "any time you ladies are ready" or Kennedy's "don't think, just do"

Have you seen the footage of Lukaku celebrating Matic's goal? Looks like Rohan Smith in '97 belting the MCG turf.
