Well done Bangers..clearly come a long way from the team that allowed Gillespie to score a double ton.
Shakib is a star...
But it is a real indictment on our batsmens' inability to show any lengthy composure or technique on decks that aren't true or where bowlers wobble the ball..
But as Boof said its ok..theyre tremendous athletes who can play shots no one from previous eras could play......sheeesh
I'd just settle for batsmen who can bat through dangerous situations and be judicious about when to go big.
Only Kawaja could find a way to get run out on what would have been a dead ball in the first innings and what kind of shot was Warner playing in the second innings to get out ?
Bangladesh have been very successful Lately against all comers at home.
Great for test cricket , both ashes sides beaten within the last 24 hours, God I love test cricket , whoever says it's dead has no idea on real cricket.

First thing I thought was it was a dead ball. He just padded up, he wasn't attempting a shot or taking evasive action so a run wouldn't have counted even if he'd made it all he way down the other end. And Renshaw was silly enough to leave the safety of his end and attempt the run and somehow make it. The only possible result that could still happen was one of the batsmen got themselves run out.
I wonder if a batsman has e ear gotten out off a dead ball in test cricket before? I can't even think of it happening in park cricket and I played for more than 30 years.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Yep congratulations to Bangladesh. They kept their heads where we lost ours.

Unbelievable.* there's a reason they didn't play shots like that in previous eras and it's not because they couldn't. They didn't play them because they were taught from when they first started in the under 12s that certain shots were low percentage shots that any decent bowler would sort you out before the end of the over for if you kept playing them against him.
*sadly believable.

Did he say that ? My God, what a load of drivel ! Kudos to the Bangers , but the Aussies inability to play outside their comfort zone for such highly r enumerated athletes , is a disgrace

How many years in a row have we been saying these very same sentences, from the third line onwards? Just remove the word Boof, replace it with whoever..
TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Is it that big a surprise? Australia have won 2 and lost 21 in recent years in Asia, the worst record of any of the 10 test playing nations (including Zimbabwe). Bangers have beaten Australia, England and Sri Lanka in their last 8 tests and are clearly becoming quite difficult to beat at home.
Having said that, it is utterly disgraceful to only schedule 1 warm up game prior to this test. A bit of intra club hit and giggle in Darwin is jack shit preparation for a difficult away tour. Australia showed against India earlier this year that if you prepare properly, you can match it with any opponent and in any conditions.

It's been a while. Credit to the Bangers but with some application we should have won that especially after Warners innings.
Renshaw has the right approach but many others don't. It doesn't sound like it's important to Boof as long as the players go out playing their shots.

So I'm assuming the players pay deal went through and this wasn't a form of industrial action then?
