    Strange I wonder the reason.

Peter Hanscomb played for Yorkshire this county season.

I listen to a lot of games on the BBC stream.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Pattinson out, lower back stress fracture.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

It must be so frustrating for him. He has so much talent he could be anything but his back keeps letting him down.

It opens the door for Warren's young boy Billy Stanlake though.

Is there any chance we would try something bold like Cameron Bancroft as the wicket keeper for the Ashes or will it be Pete Nevill?

I'm only going to watch us bat if it's Neville.

Has to be Nevill. No more gimmicks with the gloves.

I've seen a bit more of Bancroft with his keeping and it's pretty good. I don't think it would be a gimmick selection. His batting is spot on as well and he places some value on his wicket

Not sure I agree with you his keeping, he grew up as a keeper (kept at the under 19 World Cup) but I still don't think it's a strength.

I'd play Nevill and bat him at 6, he's a good batsman but an accumulator.

No one's made a statement for the number 6 spot.

S Marsh and Cartwright made 60s but they're the only two to have made runs.

Wade was out for 1 and Nevill is at the crease on 5*.

Khawaja has to have wrapped up 3. He's currently on 99* and the only player making runs on a green Gabba wicket.

Just give six to Mitch Marsh. We all know the selectors will anyway.

Looking forward to Khawaja making some runs this summer.

I think they've put the cue in the rack for a while with Mitch. He's not bowling due to a bad back, has just captained WA to a dominant JLT One Day series win and is making some runs. He's also signed a county deal and will miss the next IPL for it. Perfect time to let him play first class cricket for a few years and get himself right. I'm still a believer in his talent.

I've got an inkling it'll be Shaun at 6 and in fairness to him, he's scored a bucketload of runs.

I'm not too fazed if that happens. Form should be the key driver of selection. Weird we have to even say that, and not he's a good bloke.

Stokes may yet make the trip to Australia. There are claims he was defending two gay guys from homophobic slurs.

By swinging punch after punch? He could have just as easily defended them without swinging hay makers.

It's marvelous how the better the player the softer the excuse many in the public are willing to accept.
