Are you still in England Fredi? How have the meeja reacted to the series so far? I'd imagine they have been fairly reasonable in their assessment of how it's all panned out.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Steady start by the Aussies after winning the toss and calling out we will bat in record time.
Warner is being given plenty of width and is making them pay. Bancroft is being gritty and they have bowled far better to him.

      No wickets for 52.

Bancroft has struggled today against short pitched bowling. A couple from Anderson early clearly rattled him and if they had started with a short leg then he may well be back in the sheds. It's a credit to him that he is fighting his way through it because as you have said the poms have bowled particularly well to him.

Most players from WA have more instinct on how to play the short ball than what Bancroft has displayed. Still he is hanging in and hopefully we can go into the lunch break without losing a wicket.

It’s disappointing to see such a bland wicket presented. It’s boring me already.
            TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

I was think how flat it will be tomorrow. It's not often you see a day one wicket without a tinge of green in Australia

0 for 102 at lunch. Warner 83 and Bancroft 19. No extras.
Unless England grab a couple of wickets early in the next session it's just going to be a run fest.

I wonder what the highest partnership is when all the runs have come off the bat and there were no extras conceded?

With that sort of strike rate I'd be surprised if the selectors weren't already looking at replacements for Bancroft.

He has been a good backup to Warner. Ok not many runs but does value his wicket.

Did Bill Lawry just say that Stuart Broad has conceded 600 runs since his last test wicket?

                        Crikey!

I think it's just a bit more than 200 but nowhere near 600.

Doesn't generally seem to be a highly valued trait though

Very pleasant day here at theMCG

Overall Bancroft hasn’t impressed in four tests. I feel Renshaw would have been better
