It's an interesting question, what's the most devastated you've felt after a loss? I'd have to go with 1997 as well.

Flipping it around the most up and about I have ever been after a win was 1989 and 2-0 to the Arsenal with Mickey Thomas poking the ball past Bruce Grobelar in the last minute to give us the title. That turned into a fantastic morning//day/night!
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Kershaw’s dropped velocity. I think he’s either a f/a or has an opt out clause in his contract.
Wouldn’t be shocked if he isn’t with the dodgers next season

Then he ends up pitching a gem in the W/S ! Mind you he’s the highest paid pitcher of all time
I thought the dodgers would get up purely on Price & his history of pitching in the post season. Proved me wrong though.

Being a huge tigers fan its hard for me to want the Red Sox to win. To see DD take control of that team & then sign JD as well is a bitter pill to swallow. But credit to them, they have some awesome talent come through their farm system to be major players & then spend their money wisely on players to complement what they already had.

          "It's up for grabs now!"

Am I thinking of the right game?

            That's the one.

It was weird timing for the game in that it was played after the FA cup final (games had been postponed after Hillsborough) and that meant that broadcasting rights were out the window and they could play the whole game live into Australia. Me and my Liverpool supporting housemate watched it. I must have really gotten into it because when Thomas scored I went on a little celebration around the loungeroom only to find my housemate passed out on the couch. " how long have you been asleep for?" "The last thing I remember is 5 minutes into the second half!"

I saw Wimbledon win that cup final at the Prince of Wales in St Kilda. I think it was a Painters and Dockers gig because I can remember we watched the game with Paul Stewart and Dave Pace after the show.
