Mel Jones, Lisa Sthalekar, Alison Mitchell and Isa Guhu more than hold their own calling cricket in fact I think they're as good as the men.

I really like Isa Guhu. Knows and loves the game the same way that I do. It's really hard to capture that love of a sport in a few words but she does it.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Isa is a gem. Great mind for the game, great sense of humour and a joy to listen to.

I haven't heard a lot of Alison Mitchell but Mel, Lisa and Isa have slotted into commentary beautifully, and are a refreshing change from some of the 'boys clubs' in the commentary box.

They're are as good as the gents and if anything I think the men lift their own standards when the girls are in the commentary box
They all have their own strengths and it's hard to split them. As you mentioned Isa has thanks sense of fun, Mel is brilliant at setting the scene and Lisa is a brilliant commentator. Alison is great at the interviews and her work on the radio show 'Stumps' is impressive

I struggle accepting Jason Richardson as a cricket commentator so as much as I rate Lisa Sthalekar I've had to switch over to Fox rather than listening to Richardson

What are Jason Richardson's sporting qualifications anyway? He was good on that Friday afternoon show with Daniel Harford on SEN (probably the last time SEN was listenable) and his horse racing knowledge is impressive but cricket commentary is a bit out of his comfort zone.

He threw a lot of races leading up to his Stawell gift win and he has an obsession with sportsmans weight but other than being pretty good with his horse racing analysis I don't think he needs to be part of a cricket commentary team
