      Are you cereal?

United/City, Arsenal/Tottenham even Arsenal/United for while were bigger rivalries.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Goes back along time. These days Everton are not as good as they were.

Here is an article I just found discussing it, as well as here

I well and truly know how much Liverpool and Everton fancy themselves as the Big Rivalry (but ohhhh, it's great because the fans sit together and don't kill each other! in a stupid high pitched accent just doesn't do it for me) in English soccer, I just don't believe it. In my opinion the North London rivalry is no 1 City/United is No. 2. Liverpool/Everton aren't even No. 3-that's Celtic/Rangers-the Old Firm.

All English rivalries are fizzers when you compare them to the big ones in Continental and South America football. They are next level.

United / Liverpool is the biggest rivalry in England
United fans ( older ones ) nearly hate Leeds as much and city in third .

Great result and a wonderful performance.

Turkey(Gala and Fenerbahçe) and Netherlands(Ajax and Feyenoord) are the stand outs too on the continent. The EPL is really really tame.

Yep huge win on Saturday. Hope still for a top 4 finish but need to find consistency.

Celtic and Rangers is a fierce rivalry. The Old form derby.

Sunderland v Newcastle is considered by many English the biggest rivalry in English Football.

West Brom V Wolves is up there

Yep, United and Del Tyne-Wear Derby is huge.

Managed to watch the game last night, again we were a little poorer than our opponents for much of the game but were able to get a result.

Its a massive rivalry. Having married into a Geordie family I was shocked by how deep the sentiment runs. The Mackems (Sunderland supporters) are truly disliked. There was a famous 5-1 victory for the Toon a few years back and since you'll see Sunderland written as 5under1and.
Shame they're struggling in league 1 now there's no more derby matches except at lower age levels. Some of the songs from the Geordies are legendary. Classic example when Toon were promoted and Sunderland relegated the chant was "You're going down we're going up" I'll find and paste the video.

There’s a few tasty bitter rivalries as well
Crystal palace and Brighton is one
Millwall and everyone springs to mind

Millwall is the drunk in the nightclub of the EPL at 3am throwing punches because he missed out on picking up and has just been told last drainks.
