They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

For the stronger clubs how does missing the Champions league or Europa impact their financials? Just a blip or does it bite straight away?

It's more about the recruitment of players than the financial aspect. Star players won't come to your club unless you can offer tham European football.

Lionel Messi ain't going to play at a club that doesn't feature in Europe.

I know that is probably just an (extreme) example but would the likes of Manchester United potentially lose a quality player if they missed out?

Buffon stuck with Juventus didn't he when they were demoted for a year. Maybe he is an exception

I'd like to see a club like Sheffield United get a spot (they will probably run out of steam) but I wondered how it would impact some of the big clubs if they missed.

Missing Europe and not being able to recruit star players was one of the big reasons that United got rid of Louis Van Gaal with such
            unseemly haste.

It bites straight away, you lose at least 50m in prize money, it effects the quality of players you can buy in the summer window(better players want to play UCL football) and you can also end up losing your own better players.

And thats just missing UCL, I don't think Europa has much pull and the financial side of things is pretty small.

                  What a game!

Liverpool looked off but that probably says much about wolves, they were relentless and deserved a point.

That may be the most intense game I’ve watched this season, both teams striving for a win, frenetic football. Wolves deserve a place in Europe again.

                    Awful and dreadful from United
                    Probably being toocomplimentary
Disgraceful more like it . The club’s been mismanaged since Fergie left and the buck stops with those two yanks !
                    Ed Woodward is just hopeless

Liverpool have American owners as well and they are going well but our ones like Arsenal not so much. We need a football director!

There are two types of American owners, those in it for the silverware and those in it for the money. Utd has the latter with the Glazers, just like Liverpool was when Gillett and Hicks were owners.

Liverpool have only lost one match in the past 64 games, an incredible performance. To lose the title from here, they would need to lose 7 of 14 for starters.

I guess it’s a sign of progress that I’m disappointed by Wolves taking only a point home from Old Trafford. But was a pretty average performance against a team that we should match up pretty well with.

It a truly amazing run. Title has been over for a while, Klopp is a few weeks off being an eternal ‘Pool legend.

Ander Herriera summed it up when he left
The glazers are more interested in the commercial side of the club and couldn’t give a stuff about the football side.
