Nathan Lyon has now become just the fourth Australian Boehner to reach 350 test wickets, behind Warne, McGrath and Lillee.

He's also dismissed Moeen Ali 9 times in 11 attempts.

Unfortunately for Nathan, he probably won't get another chance to bowl at Moeen.

After the Ashes GOAT should pick up a one game county contract for Worcestershire's opponents that week, just to haunt Moeen.

Not to mention he's only 31. The guy could genuinely play into 36/37 and end up with 500+ test wickets.

It's funny that after Warne, we bemoaned the death of spin in this country...but over the course of two cricket generations we've seen both the best leg-spinner and best off-spinner this country has ever produced.

For context, the next-most wickets by an Australian offie is Hugh Trumble with 141.

I would have sworn it was Ashley Mallett.
Just looked it up, he finished on 132.

We are Australian. It's how we play the game.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

For most of my youth Trumble was still Australia's leading off spinner. His average per test is silghtly better than Lyon's (Trumble 4.09 to Lyon 4.04) but Trumble is way out ahead when it comes to bowling average (21.78 to Lyon's 31.9) Trumble may still be the better offie than the GOAT!

Grimmet is way out ahead of both though with 5.83 wickets per test at an average of 24.21. O' Reilly went at 5.33 per test at an average of 22.59 but both were leggies.

I got a box brownie photo of him and me. I believe the youngsters call it a "Shelfie" or something. Hughie and I couldn't stop laughing long enough for the exposure to work properly though.

Mooen Ali dropped for Jack Leach. Jofra Archer replaces Jimmy Anderson.

Interesting inclusions, Archer deserves his chance and they had no choice but to drop Ali
