Looks like we've found a batsman in Lambuschagne. Just need a couple of openers now.

Such a shame that Renshaw has battled with form and injury, reckon he could be well suited to English conditions.

Steve Smith, one of the best batsmen I have ever seen. Now ranked number one again.

Agree on Smith. He is special. Bar Stokes, every other batsman in both sides have struggled to come to terms with the conditions and yet he has passed 50 in every innings and passed 100 in 3 out of 4. The ease with which he does it sets him apart. Travis Head could do with spending some time with Smith and learning what it takes.

Big shout also to Lambuschagne. He has really impressed in his 4 innings to date. Good technique. Good concentration. No obvious flaws. he needs to work on pushing on throught eh 60's and 70's and getting to that ton. I feel that once he does, a little like Steve Waugh, the run gates will open.

As for Wade. I will leave it to Cric Info - 60.5 length outside off, has a massive heave which goes miles up in the air... Root at mid-on watches it fly up, has enough time to set himself, roll up his sleeves, finish off his cup of tea and then pouch it. Brainless shot! Bit of a nothing ball from a negative angle, Wade hadn't got going at all and lost his patience, hoping to mow this over cow corner, and top-edged it straight up 224/5 - Kurtis Patterson will be cursing.

Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

As well as can be expected for a bunch of imbecilic delusional morons. About as reasonable a some Americans react when you suggest that they may want to leave their guns at home.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

All hail Steve Smith. What a truly amazing talent we have in our batting line up. In just 4 innings he is the highest run scorer in test cricket in 2019.....with the Australian test Summer still to come. His knock today (yes he got lucky on 65 and the cricket Gods were smiling when he was out to a no ball) was superb. England simply don't know how to get him out for a sh*t score.

Quite simply, as was demonstrated this last 12 months, against quality opposition our team would be stuffed without Steve Smith.
His performances since he returned have been nothing short of the stuff legends are made of. This series has reminded the cricketing workd what an unorthodox, rare talent he is.
You'd show your kid footage of Smith and say, right, 90% of whst he does, don't do that and you'll go okay!
He is a one of a kind phenomenon.
