Re: Summer 20/21 Cricket schedule v India

Something I found interesting on how the media twists things.
My mates daughter married Aaron Finch a couple of years ago and the other day I was at the pub having a meal with him( my mate not Aaron ) and the Indian tour came on the big screen . Kohli being the big draw card of course was what it was about.
The media gives the impression Kohli is arrogant etc etc, so we got chatting about him and Aaron says he is one of the best blokes you will ever meet. Absolutely loves the guy as a Person.
I remember being a 16 year old and somehow managed to get in the English dressing rooms after jumping a fence at the MCG and ended up chatting to the captain David Gower for an hour , even Botham was lovely but the strangest thing was , the guy everyone loved in the media was Derek Randall who was the rudest and most dissapointing I ever met.
The media picks and chooses who with be the good guy and who will be the bad guy , the truth is irrelevant.

After taking 27 off one Starc over, India now starting to struggle, with 3/80 with Kohli gone.

Kohli is a competitive beast. He wants to win and that comes across as arrogant etc.

His actions at the Oval in the World Cup last year to ask the crowd to stop booing Steve Smith show just how much of a good bloke he is.

We just see Kohli through the same lens other teams viewed the likes of Ponting when he was at his most twerpish.

As an aside, I've seen some of the most spiteful (racist, homophobic, you name it) stuff on social media comment sections when comparisons between Smith and Kohli are made. People need to take a breath.

It's actually good to be back in the country in summer and hearing the cricket on the radio. Was driving for a bit tonight, and having cricket on the ABC rather than continual COVID updates and analysis was great. First time I've felt things are getting back to normal for a bit and like I'm at home given I spent sixteen months based in Hanoi leading up to the end of 2019.

              Good times folks!

Back then he was what you would call a different cat.

Someone else I thought was arrogant but isn’t was Viv Richards .., all
That swagger , the whole demeanour speaks too much class for everyone but he isn’t , he is the ultra cool bloke we all aspire to be, friendly , relaxed and extremely smart with cricket.
I think we all wish we were him and even the media couldn’t make him out to be the bad guy even if they wanted to.

Smith is in ripping form isn't he. I'm not a big fan of these run fests but there is no denying that he's in great form
It's a shame he went out

Can't believe these large scores. In the 80s, 250 was considered a massive total. Bowlers just don't seem to get a chance with the way the game is played now.

Poor Moises Henriques, waits a long time for his call up and gets one ball to face

I think we needed a stronger 5th bowler so early wickets are the aim now

                              Hazlewood is a machine.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

With no saliva allowed to be applied to the ball the ICC should consider issuing sandpaper. Covid friendly and gives the bowlers a chance!
