Personally Paine has been hung out to dry for an error in judgement that happened in his recent past, was dealt with at the time. Sure he should have been a better person and not engaged or sent the Dick Pick, but if the exchange was consensual then actually its a personal matter between Paine and his missus and the staffer involved.

Is it a cover up? I mean protecting a person's privacy during an industrial relationship proceeding is actually part of their duty of care no matter who it is. The fact that they assessed the facts and came to the conclusion that it was consensual and that at worst it was an error of judgement doesn't make it a cover up.

Personally Paine has been hung out to dry for an error in judgement that happened in his recent past, was dealt with at the time. CA have admitted that they would have and should have handled it differently.
I just feel like they needed to get on to the front foot with this one.

CA and the selectors appear to be sticking by him so it will be an interesting to see how the Ashes plays out. Paine will be targeted by England so we will be hearing about it right through the series.

Was it consensual? I don't recall seeing in her messages where she requested a pic of his junk? I agree her messages were very flirtatious and may've led Tim to think escalating the conversation was being green lighted.. but it's a big jump from flirting to what then transpired..
Personally, I think now he's not captain, his time has passed. I think there are better keeper options..but I suspect he'll be selected given he seems to have a lot of dressing room support.. not sure what that says about our team culture to be honest.

Why was he given the captaincy ? Because there was no one else ?
He was like the priest coming into the whorehouse to bring a cultural change. Ahh nope. The culture has always stunk, and we know how the “band of brothers” team mentality has stuck together.
