CA have admitted that they would have and should have handled it differently.
I just feel like they needed to get on to the front foot with this one.

CA and the selectors appear to be sticking by him so it will be an interesting to see how the Ashes plays out. Paine will be targeted by England so we will be hearing about it right through the series.

They have already published some, first one isn't bad, second one is rubbish:

Barmy Army songs for Tim Paine

To the tune of My Old Man’s A Dustman by Lonnie Donegan

            Tim Paine was your captain

            He had a mobile phone

To the tune of I’m Gonna Be by the Proclaimers

When you go out, when you go out to the crease

You know that Anderson is waiting there for you

So you’ll get out, and you’ll get our really cheaply

Yeah, it’s just a simple fact that is what you’ll do

            And-a he won’t make a hundred runs,

Oh no, he won’t post a hundred score

Because he’s the man who’s captaincy

And batting is just really poor...

Was it consensual? I don't recall seeing in her messages where she requested a pic of his junk? I agree her messages were very flirtatious and may've led Tim to think escalating the conversation was being green lighted.. but it's a big jump from flirting to what then transpired..
Personally, I think now he's not captain, his time has passed. I think there are better keeper options..but I suspect he'll be selected given he seems to have a lot of dressing room support.. not sure what that says about our team culture to be honest.

Seems the wags aren't happy with the code of conduct. Which I guess is understandable with the amount of time these guys spend away from home.

Because the public has been fed an image of Paine as a pillar of virtue and a champion of cultural change, when in reality, he is someone who sends unsolicited pictures of his penis to colleagues.

Do we know what time he has breakfast, and what he watches on Tv and what time he goes to bed, or visits his mum etc etc.

Personally, all I am interested in is his cricket.

Why was he given the captaincy ? Because there was no one else ?
He was like the priest coming into the whorehouse to bring a cultural change. Ahh nope. The culture has always stunk, and we know how the “band of brothers” team mentality has stuck together. He’s “good to have around in the changerooms” so I’m expecting him to play, but in reality, his time is over, and this is the push needed. Do the selectors have the balls ? Doubt it.
I will never see #16 the same!!

Nominally I agree with you that the charade this has become is more about his personal business, but your comment here is false equivalence.
