There is just something that hits differently watching genuine pace which has batsmen on the edge. Super bowling from Wood.

How low are the English crowds booing our national anthem.

How'd you feel when the Uruguayan national anthem was booed before the 2005 World Cup qualifier in Sydney? It's not particularly uncommon.

I thought the Leeds crowd was pretty tame after the last week.

Agree on both your points - but really just stupid.

Very Happy for Mitch as he has been in and out of the team for years and even hated by some, who have asked why is he picked - including me

However, he deserved his spot as an all rounder and came good last night. No way you drop him after that performance.

This is what he said after taking 5/46 in his last Test appearance at The Oval 2019

13 wickets on Day 1. Bowlers' wicket, No wonder England happy not to bat first. I'm betting Bairstow won't be heading off to do a bit of gardening or have a yarn with Root too quickly.

I'm stoked for Marsh as well. I think you could see from the reaction in the dressing room that the boys love him. I know it's hard to justify those 'cultural' selections, but he's clearly a hard worker and good to have around the place. I think it's easier to justify 'stable pony' selections in cricket because they're on tour for months and it's a small number of players spending days in each other's company. There was some writing after the 05 Ashes that dressing room tensions didn't help the Aussies, and that was a far more talented squad than this one.

I also think the situation was great for him. Head was in all sorts and never settled, but Marsh - being a 31-year old with nearly 150 internationals to his name and a former Test vice captain - was able to take the bull by the horns, alleviate the pressure on Head and carry the partnership. Green is an excellent cricketer, but I think Head would've felt a lot more pressure to face balls and do the bulk of the scoring if he'd walked out at number 6.

I honestly had written off Mitch Marsh as his record and number of chances for playing Australian has been ordinary.

                              His record here:
                              33 TEsts, 27 batting average, 3 x 100, 3 x50 , that is 56 innings.

Maybe his just one of those players who need 32 tests to get going ?

I am very happy for him that his managed to make a hundred in such agressive style.
This version of Mitch Marsh, seems to know his game more, smashes the ball when its in the zone, does not play any silly cross bat shots or leg side slog sweeps. That innings was awsesome to watch. When the ball was in the zone, he just smashed those drives, it was a pleasure to watch.

Well done for coming through today.
